Beat your sugar cravings and afternoon slump with these bad boys. They really satisfy sugar cravings but don’t give you a spike in your blood sugar levels, so they help to sustain your energy levels all day long, whilst tasting really, really scrummy! Make a big batch and keep some in the fridge or freezer.
These are SUPER quick and easy to make. All you’ll need is your ingredients, and a food processor. Makes roughly 12-15.
1 cup dates (pitted)
3/4 cup of almonds
3/4 cup of walnuts (or any other nut of your choice)
2 tablespoons chia seeds
1 tablespoon coconut oil
1 tablespoon of raw cacao powder
1 tablespoon of hemp protein powder (optional)
First, blend the nuts and chia seeds in the food processor for around 1 minute until they form a flour-like consistency.
Then, add the remaining ingredients and blend until a sticky dough forms. Option to roll in dessicated coconut for an additional touch.
Finally, use your hands to make the mixture into balls then store in the fridge!
